This afternoon we got to visit one of the biggest religous temples in the world, Angkor Wat. It was so huge! We had to walk forever through the first and second gates. There were buddha statues inside. My brother and I got to light incense to make an offering for good luck. There was bad fighting in Cambodia a few years ago and there are bullet holes stuck inside of the walls at Angkor Wat.
This is me in front of the first gate.
This is where the bullet hole that we found is. The bullet is still in the wall. Can you find it?
This is the statue that we made an offering at. He is wearing silk clothes!
This is a building between the first and second gates. Our guide told us this was a library.
This is my family between the first and second gates.
This is a carving of an apsara dancer. There were a lot of nice carvings at Angkor Wat.
Here is a picture of another buddha.
This is me in front of the tower in the center of Angkor Wat. They are called Prasats and they are shaped like lotus flowers.
Micah and I found some stones to relax on. Micah said it was his lounge chair!
