We finally made it to Beijing!! Right after we got there, we went to a restaurant to meet my cousins. The food was different than I was used to. I tried grilled yellow sweet potato and a Peking duck pancake, but I mostly ate rice.
After, we went on a rickshaw ride through a hutong. A rickshaw is when you sit in a cart and someone rides a bike in front. A hutong is little old streets. It was fun! My brother Micah fell asleep.
Then we went to Tianamen Square. It is the biggest square in the world. One one side is the Forbidden City and the other is a place where they keep the dead body of Mao, who is really famous in China. My guide said that they keep his body in a crystal coffin that you can see through.
